SoundsGood and LooksGood support a mode called linking. Linking allows you to play another sound or music file immediately upon finishing the previous one.

What that allows you to do, for example, is to play a car horn followed 5 seconds later with a dog barking, then 10 seconds later with a squeeky door being closed.
You've probably got the horn, dog, and door sounds.

SoundsGood and LooksGood also support two mechanisms of automating sound and music playback. The first is call Collections. Collections are groups that will be used for a show or production or just like-minded playback. For example, all the songs to be played back in Act 1 of a play could be included in a Collection. The second mechanism is called Playlists. A Playlist is a list of files that will be played back, one after the other until the list is exhausted. To space out the playback, just include a silence file of the length you desire.

But what about the 5 and 10 seconds pauses of silence? Where can you get them? Well, you can download those from us from this page. Or, you can create them yourself using an audio editing program.

You can obtain Zipped (compressed) files here that have from 1 to 8000 seconds of silence that can be decompressed, and then linked together to provide any needed length of silence to separate your sounds. You can download an individual file or if you choose the Archive, it contains all of the other segments. Unzip the Archive, then unzip all the other files.
